Things You Need To Know About Girls At Bars In Udon Thani
There are a few things you should know about the girls at bars in Udonthani. There are generally 3 types of girls you'll meet at the bars in Udon Thani.
(1) Bar Girls who work at the bar. Bar girls are always happy to sit and talk with you. They'd very much like you to buy them a drink as that is how they make their money. Drinks you buy for them will be slight more expensive than regular drinks because the girl gets that extra part. That's how she makes her money. How she affords to feed herself. It's very little so if you have a bar girl that you enjoy her company you might consider handing her an additional small tip before you leave.
Bar girls are also available to leave the bar with you. You will pay a small fine called a Bar Fine which helps compensate the bar for you taking a helping staff out of the bar. The bar fines in Udon Thani are generally fairly cheap, and Fun Bar has the lowest Bar Fines that I know of.
You can talk to the bar girl to determine how much she will want to leave the bar with you. She WILL want you to compensate her for her time and this IS how she makes a living so don't feel shy asking her about this. But if you need help you can just ask Fah the bar owner as she'll be happy to help you talk to the girl.
(2) Freelance girls. This girl in the picture is not a bar girl I just took this picture of her a few minutes ago so she's here right now. I assume she's probably a freelance but I didn't ask. I know she wasn't working at the bar although I've seen her there many times. She's friends with Fah the owner. She often comes in just to talk to Fah. I assume she's a freelance as most girls are either bar girls or freelance.
Freelance girls in Udon Thani don't work for the bar. They are usually just friends with the owner or some of the girls at the bar and hanging out to have fun. Yet they are available. You can buy them a drink and talk. Generally, most bars do not charge "lady drink" prices for freelance girls, but some do. It's usually good when they do as it helps the girl. If they charge a lady drink price then that means they will pay the girl for each drink later which helps her. None of these girls make a lot so every little bit helps so don't be too concerned about a few extra baht especially when it's going to the girl who is entertaining you.
(3) Import Girls or as we simply call them "Imports". There are Thai girls in relationships who are usually in the bar with their boyfriend. They might be walking around talking to the other girls but you can usually watch them for a minute and see if they keep returning to a guy or more importantly if they can in with or went out with a guy. Many of these Imports are available too, but you'll generally have to secretly get their number for later. Often times you can ask one of he other girls at the bar about any other girl and she might also be able to help you arrange to get in contact with her later.
