Liquor (also hard liquor, hard alcohol, spirit, or distilled drink) is an alcoholic drink produced by distillation of grains, fruit, or vegetables that have already gone through alcoholic fermentation. The distillation process purifies the liquid and removes diluting components like water, for the purpose of increasing its proportion of alcohol content (commonly expressed as alcohol by volume, ABV). As liquors contain significantly more alcohol, they are considered harder, yet in North America, the term hard liquor is used to distinguish distilled alcoholic drinks from non-distilled ones.
Liquor does NOT include beverages such as beer, wine, mead, sake, or cider, since they are fermented but NOT distilled.
A shot is a straight serving of liquor usually served in a one ounce shot glass. It is usually consumed quickly--in one single gulp.
A shooter is like a mini cocktails as it's mixed with something else. Shooters are sometimes served in a one ounce shot glass but can be served in larger sized shooter glasses which hold 2 or up to 3 ounces. Shooters can be shaken, stirred, blended, layered, or simply poured.
A cocktail is an alcoholic mixed drink, which is either a combination of different liquors mixed together, or one or more liquors mixed with other ingredients such as fruit juice, flavored syrup, or cream. There are various types of cocktails, based on the number and kind of ingredients added.
Mixers are included when required.

0 Liqueurs− +
While Liquor and Liqueur might sound similar, they are not the same thing. Technically, liqueurs are liquor because they are distilled spirits. The general difference is that liqueurs are sweetened spirits with various flavors, oils, and extracts added; rum, whiskey, brandy, and other liquors can serve as a base spirit for liqueurs.

Jagermeister's ingredients include 56 herbs, fruits, roots, and spices, including citrus peel, licorice, anise, poppy seeds, saffron, ginger, juniper berries, and ginseng. These ingredients are ground, then steeped in water and alcohol for 2-3 days. Afterward, this mixture is filtered and stored in oak barrels for about a year. When a year has passed, the liqueur is filtered again, then mixed with sugar, caramel, and alcohol.
The company recommends that Jagermeister be kept on ice and served cold, and suggests that it be kept in a freezer at -18 C (0 F) or on tap between -15 and -11 C (5 and 12 F).
Contrary to a rumor that has circulated on the internet, Jagermeister does not contain deer blood or elk blood.
